Mobile, Ala.-based Providence Hospital announced plans to lay off 35 people, according to a WPMI report.
In addition to the layoffs, the hospital announced it is restructuring some areas of its operations. The restructuring includes work redesign, changing staff hours and benefit changes, according to the report.
The hospital cited increased charity care, healthcare reform and reimbursement changes as the reason for the layoffs and restructuring.
