BJC HealthCare Cuts 160 Jobs in System's First-Ever Layoffs

St. Louis-based BJC HealthCare has laid off 160 employees, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.

This is the first time BJC has laid off employees in its 20-year history, according to the report, and employees across the system were affected, including employees who provided direct patient care.

BJC officials cited reimbursement changes as the cause of the layoffs, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
