Nurses at Ayer, Mass.-based Nashoba Valley Medical Center, part of Boston-based Steward Health Care, voted to unionize and join the Massachusetts Nurses Association/National Nurses United.
The hospital's 123 registered nurses participated in the union election, conducted by the National Labor Relations Board, July 24. They will now work on forming a local committee.
The MNA already represents more than 2,800 nurses at other Steward Health Care locations.
