Tucson (Ariz.) Medical Center unveiled an application for virtual care visits, according to an Arizona Daily Star report.
TMC CareNow, a free app, allows users to connect with TMC physicians and caregivers via their smartphone, tablet or computer. The app is available in both the Google and Apple app stores.
Via the app, patients can send their caregivers pictures of physical ailments or discuss their symptoms. Providers can suggest a treatment plan and prescribe medications using the app. The app also has a virtual waiting room and will ping when a provider is ready to speak with the app user.
Additionally, users can invite third-parties to join in on the appointment, even if they are in a different location, according to the report.
