The vast majority of patients who try virtual visits are willing to do them again, while nearly a quarter of patients say they'd switch physicians for virtual care access, according to the Deloitte Center for Health Solutions.
Here are the top seven reasons patients prefer virtual visits, according to the consultant's survey of 1,267 virtual-first consumers released Oct. 16:
1. Convenience (offered better appointment times): 64%
2. Convenience (saved time on day of appointment): 44%
3. Convenience (shorter wait to get appointment): 37%
4. Cost (saved me money): 32%
5. Personal (better connection with a physician): 15%
6. Technology (prefer using technology for healthcare visits): 14%
7. Privacy (virtual visit would be more private/confidential): 8%
