Texas Health Aetna, a health plan jointly owned by Texas Health Resources and Aetna, will begin offering more than 100,000 Northern Texas-based members free behavioral health services through its virtual care platform.
Four things to know:
1. The telehealth services will roll out this October and will be available 24/7.
2. The virtual care platform, called Anytime-MD, will provide members with access to behavioral health specialists to support with triage for outpatient counseling and inpatient or residential treatment.
3. Members will be able to use Anytime-MD to chat with a specialist through either text or video. Anytime-MD's physician response rate is 40 seconds on average compared to the industry average of 30 minutes to 45 minutes, according to a news release emailed to Becker's.
4. Anytime-MD users on average save approximately $2,577 by avoiding a trip to the emergency room, according to the report.
