Target announced June 17 it will begin offering free access to telemedicine visits for employees through the end of the year.
The retail giant is teaming up with telemedicine provider CirrusMD on the telemedicine offering, which is available to employees regardless of whether they are members of Target's health plan.
Employees will be able to virtually connect with a clinician through CirrusMD's app, which focuses on text-based virtual health visits. The service allows users to text, share images or video chat with a provider and will be available 24/7 to U.S.-based employees until the end of December.
