Lexington, Mass.-based swyMed, a video telemedicine solution provider, has rolled out its DOT Telemedicine Backpack.
The DOT Telemedicine Backpack is a lightweight mobile telemedicine equipment kit that allows field care providers to conduct real-time video consultations on the go. It uses low bandwidth, high-gain antennas, a 15-hour battery and digital scopes to connect patients and physicians, regardless of location.
"From paramedicine care providers who are reducing readmissions via home visits to EMTs in ambulances who connect with neurologists for telestroke consults while on the move, innovative hospitals and healthcare systems count on us to provide a consistent, high-quality connection to a physician, saving not only time and money, but lives as well," said Stefano Migliorisi, CEO of swyMed.
