March telehealth utilization grew by 1.8 percent in March 2023 compared to February 2023, according to Fair Health’s Telehealth Regional Tracker.

The report uses Fair Health data to track national telehealth use by month.

  1. Telehealth use grew in the Midwest and West. While in the North and South, it stayed level.

  2. The March jump follows a February decline.

  3. Mental health conditions were the most common telehealth diagnosis in March.

  4. The use of audio-only telehealth in rural areas decreased.

  5. Acute respiratory diseases and infections were the most common diagnosis for asynchronous telehealth.
