Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health entered into an agreement with Royal Philips to deploy its eICU program.
The program leverages telehealth technology, giving caregivers in intensive care units remote access to guidance from specialists as well as access to predictive analytics, data visualization and advanced reporting capabilities. At Dartmouth-Hitchcock, the program will first be implemented in medical, surgical and neurological ICUs at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, as well as in the ICU at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene, N.H.
The tele-ICU hub will be located at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The program will include implementation of the Philips IntelliSpace eCareManager, source-agnostic software that provides clinicians with an integrated view of patient data.
"The use of telemedicine across the D-HH system and around the region aligns with our mission of providing the best care in the appropriate setting, whether it be at DHMC or at the patient's local hospital with the support of Dartmouth-Hitchcock specialists," said Edward J. Merrens, MD, chief clinical officer at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
