Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health added remote monitoring technology from Advanced ICU Care, an intensive care unit telemedicine provider, for patients at Baptist Medical Center Nassau.
The tele-ICU system uses audiovisual technology and real-time patient data to let physicians monitor patients' medical conditions from afar. It can track patients' vital signs, medications, lab results and clinical status, and it sends an alert to the physician to prompt immediate intervention if a patient's condition becomes serious.
Baptist Medical Center Nassau is the first Baptist Healthhospital to launch the tele-ICU technology.
