Wal-Marts on Tuesday shared plans to update its mobile app and streamline pharmacy processes for customers, reports Market Watch.
The updated app will allow patients to refill their prescriptions from their smartphone and pick up the order through an express lane at the pharmacy. Customers can also scan the prescription's bar code through the app and pay for the refill electronically, according to the report.
Wal-Mart will roll out the services in March and expects most of its 4,700 U.S. stores to offer the services by the fall.
