Stryker to acquire imaging technology company for $701M

Stryker Corp. will purchase Novadaq Technologies — a Canadian imaging technology manufacturer — for $701 million.

Here are three things to know.

  1. Novadaq's fluorescent imaging technology allows surgeons to see blood flow in vessels and tissue during various surgical procedures.

  2. The deal expands Stryker's imaging portfolio into open and plastic reconstructive surgery, according to the report.

  3. Stryker expects to close the deal — still subject to regulatory approval in Canada — by the end of the third quarter.
