Matthew Harbaugh has been appointed CFO of NuVasive, effective immediately, the company announced Jan. 2.
Mr. Harbaugh replaces Rajesh Asarpota, who is leaving the company but will remain in an advisory role until May and consult for the company until September.
Nuvasive, based in San Diego, develops medical devices procedures for minimally invasive spine surgery.
Mr. Harbaugh most recently served as president of Mallinckrodt's specialty generics business and prior to that served as Mallinckrodt's CFO for more than five years.
NuVasive did not disclose why Mr. Asarpota is leaving the company.
