Boston-based Mass General Brigham tapped Medline on Feb. 27 as its strategic medical supply vendor.
The hospital was with another medical supplier for 25 years, which is not named in a Medline news release about the new, yearslong deal. Medline analysts will work on-site for "supply chain optimization" as part of the exclusive partnership involving medical and surgical supplies, the release said.
"Working with Medline allows us to leverage their entire scope of expertise in the areas of supply chain logistics and clinical solutions to ultimately help improve our operating performance," Lisa Scannell, vice president of supply chain for Mass General Brigham, said in a statement. "We look forward to evolving this strategic relationship to achieve greater resiliency and standardization in our system's supply chain."
