The Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply developed an online supply chain risk-assessment tool, reports Supply Management.
The assessment, which takes about 15 minutes to complete, walks supply chain leaders through a series of questions before creating a report outlining potential areas of risk in their supply chains. The follow-up report also contains resources for how to address these areas of weakness.
The assessment focuses on seven risk areas, as identified by CIPS.
1. Legal
2. Governmental
3. Ethical
4. Geographical
5. Functional
6. Performance
7. Technical
