A biosimilar of Humira, an oral film for seizures & more: 4 recent FDA approvals

Here are four drugs or medical devices that have been approved by the FDA since Oct. 26:

1. 23andMe received approval for its Personal Genome Service Pharmacogenetic Report, a direct-to-consumer DNA test that tells how the user's  genetics affect their responses to different medications.

2. Sympazan is an oral film for the adjunctive treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a severe condition characterized by recurrent seizures that begin early in life.

3. Hyrimoz is Sandoz's biosimilar of AbbVie's rheumatoid arthritis drug Humira.

4. Invokana, an oral treatment, was approved to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with Type 2 diabetes.
