Naperville, Ill.-based Edward Health Services Corp. will be known as Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare following its merger with Elmhurst (Ill.) Memorial Healthcare, according to a Crain's Chicago Business report.
The two health systems signed an agreement to merge April 2.
While the health system will change its name, neither Edward Hospital nor Elmhurst Memorial will change their names.
Edward plans to work on branding in the summer when the health systems complete the merger, according to the report.
