Phoenix-based Banner Health announced Banner Goldfield Medical Center as the new name of 30-bed Arizona Regional Medical Center in Apache Junction, Ariz., which joined Banner Health May 15.
5. Hudson Holdco in New Jersey Becomes CarePoint Health
For-profit hospital operator Hudson Holdco, based in Hudson County, N.J., rebranded itself as CarePoint Health, which will encompass Hudson Holdco's three hospitals.
6. Civista Medical Center to Change Name to Reflect Affiliation
Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Md., will change its name to University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center to reflect its affiliation with Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System, its community ties and its growth across the region.

12. Catholic Health Initiatives to Acquire St. Luke's Episcopal Health System
The Episcopal Diocese of Texas approved a definitive agreement to transfer Houston-based St. Luke's Episcopal Health System to Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives. Under the agreement, expected to be finalized early this summer, CHI will pay $1 billion to create the Episcopal Health Foundation and invest another $1 billion into the health system, to be renamed St. Luke's Health System.
