To assess women's equality, WalletHub compared the 50 states across three key dimensions — workplace environment, education and health, and political empowerment — using 17 weighted metrics. Each state's overall score is based on the weighted average across all metrics, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions for women's equality.
Hawaii scored 75.13, while Utah trailed the nation at 25.74.
