Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare employs the most registered nurses of any health system, hospital operator or integrated delivery network in the U.S.
Below is a list of 14 health systems that employ the most registered nurses, based on proprietary research from Definitive Healthcare's HospitalView product, which tracks data on more than 1,100 health systems and integrated delivery networks nationwide.
In March, Becker's reached out to the organizations on Definitive's list to collect their most updated self-reported figures on total employed registered nurses. In some cases, health systems opted to provide rounded figures, versus exact.
