Several health systems were among the organizations named to Fortune's 100 "Best Companies to Work For" list released April 4.
The magazine partnered with workplace consulting firm Great Place to Work for the list. It is based on a survey of employees about their organization's culture, including whether leaders are accessible and whether they feel respected. Each company also answers six essay questions about its program and workplace strategy.
To be eligible for the list, employers must have at least 1,000 employees in the U.S. and cannot be a government agency, Fortune said. More than half a million survey responses were received from employees at companies that were eligible for this year's list. More information about the methodology is available here.
