Prices for acute-care hospital services increased 0.1 percent from July, according to recent statistics published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Meanwhile, hospital service prices were up 2.1 percent compared to Aug. 2010. The BLS' producer price index measures average changes in selling prices received by producers for their products and services.
Prices for physicians' offices were up 0.1 percent and 1.2 percent from last month and Aug. 2010, respectively.
