From December to January, prices at acute-care hospitals rose a modest 0.1 percent, according to the latest Producer Price Index from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (pdf).
Compared with January 2012, hospital prices are up 2 percent.
The PPI also showed prices increased 0.4 percent for physician offices from December to January. Year over year, physician office prices are currently up 0.8 percent.
