Hospital Prices Climbed 0.5% in October

Hospital prices increased 0.5 percent from September to October, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Producer Price Index.

From Oct. 2010 to Oct. 2011, hospital prices were up 1.9 percent. Physician office prices experienced no growth from September to October, but they are up 1.4 percent from last October.


The PPI measures the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic producers for their output.
