State Investigates Surgical Error at St. Jude Medical Center in California

The California Department of Public Health is investigating a surgical error that occurred at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, Calif., according to an Orange County Register report.

 



The department is expected to make its findings public once the investigation is complete. Meanwhile, officials from both the department and hospital have not provided details on what kind of surgical error occurred. Surgical errors include wrong-site surgeries and retained foreign objects.
