Georgia State partners on older adult care training program

The Gerontology Institute at Atlanta-based Georgia State University has partnered with older adult care provider A.G. Rhodes to address the nursing home workforce shortage through the establishment of the Scholars With A.G. Rhodes at GSU program.

The two-year training program offers hands-on clinical experience at Atlanta-area A.G. Rhodes' older adult care facilities, according to an Oct. 15 news release from Georgia State.

Students seeking master's degrees in gerontology are eligible for the program, which launched this fall. Program requirements include developing quality improvement projects and eight to 16 hours of on-site experience per week.
