A Massachusetts man escaped from UMass Memorial-Marlborough Hospital on Sept. 23, and authorities captured him less than 24 hours later, The Boston Globe reported.
Isaac Rivera, 24, was taken to the hospital under police custody to undergo a medical procedure Sept. 23. Authorities said Mr. Rivera escaped from Marlborough Hospital wearing a hospital gown and socks around 10 p.m. Sept. 23. Police did not disclose additional details about why Mr. Rivera was at Marlborough Hospital or how he escaped.
He was in custody while under arrest on several charges, including domestic assault and battery, strangulation and illegal possession of a firearm, according to police.
Authorities apprehended Mr. Rivera around 4 p.m. Sept. 24 at a house in Milford, Mass., according to NBC affiliate WBTS.
