The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics has been approved to execute a five-year capital plan that includes expanding the surgical areas, according to an Iowa City Press-Citizen report.
The surgical area expansion would include an additional two rooms in the main operating room suite and more surgical rooms and pre- and post-anesthesia recovery suites in the ambulatory OR.
