Los Angeles-based UCLA Health appointed Mediget Teshome, MD, chief of breast surgery and director of breast health.
Dr. Teshome will oversee breast surgical oncology across the system, including at the UCLA Health Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, according to a Jan. 18 system news release.
Previously, she was an associate professor at the Houston-based University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, program director of its breast surgical oncology fellowship program and the professional ambassador for its surgery division.
