U.S. News Releases List of Best Children's Hospitals

U.S. News & World Report's new report, Best Children's Hospitals 2010-11, ranks 62 different hospitals in at least one of 10 specialties, according to a release by U.S. News.

The 10 specialties are cancer, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology, heart and heart surgery, kidney, neonatology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology.

Eight hospitals ranked in all 10 specialties, putting them on U.S. News' 2010-11 Best Children's Hospitals Honor Roll. They are:

1. Children's Hospital Boston
2. Childrens Hospital Los Angeles
3. Children's Hospital Philadelphia
4. Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh at UPMC
5. Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center
6. New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley-Komansky Children's Hospital
7. St. Louis Children's Hospital-Washington University
8. Texas Children's Hospital, Houston

Rankings relied on a reputational survey sent to pediatric specialists and a data survey sent to handpicked hospitals.
