Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Health is moving to an Epic EHR system.
The health system shared with Becker's that the move to Epic is slated to take two years with an anticipated go live scheduled for summer 2026, according to a statement from Avera and Epic.
"This decision marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to providing the highest standard of care and operational excellence," Jim Dover, Avera president and CEO, said in the statement. "It's the right decision for where we are as a health system and where we are heading in the future."
