Today Marks Six Years of 'Romneycare' in Massachusetts

Six years ago today, Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney signed legislation that required everyone in the state to purchase health insurance.

Liberal interest groups are now trying to make the GOP presidential candidate eat his own words, so to speak, and President Obama supporters in Massachusetts are holding events to publicize the similarities between their 2006 state healthcare law and PPACA, according to The Hill.

American Bridge 21st Century, a liberal political action committee that seeks to "hold Republicans accountable for their words and actions" according to its website, posted a You Tube video featuring clips from 2006 in which Mr. Romney defends his state's new healthcare law on the Fox News cable network.

"When I set out to find a way to get everybody health insurance, I couldn't of cared less and I don't care less how it works politically," the video shows Romney saying on Fox News, with jolly voices singing 'Happy Anniversary' in the background.
