St. John's Lutheran Hospital in Montana Gets Go-Ahead for New Hospital

St. John's Lutheran Hospital in Libby, Mont., announced it has received a go-ahead from the Housing and Urban Development Department to build a new hospital.

HUD will guarantee a $32 million loan for the project, which will break ground this fall and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2014.

The 79,000-square-foot facility will include 25 private rooms, an expanded emergency department, larger surgical suites with additional recovery rooms and upgraded internal MRI and imaging technology.

The hospital has been conducting a fundraising campaign for the past four years for the project, and has raised $1.4 million so far.
