Premier healthcare alliance released a statement on the MedPAC recommendations for hospital payment updates, according to a company news report.
Premier strongly opposes the recommendations and holds concerns about how the proposal will impact safety net providers for Medicare beneficiaries, integrated health systems and academic medical centers. In the statement, Premier senior vice president Blair Childs recommended MedPAC conduct an in-depth data analysis and reconsider the changes.
The letter asks Congress to reject the recommendation.
