Springfield, Ill.-based Memorial Health System and Passavant Area Hospital in Jacksonville, Ill., are considering plans to build a physician office building, according to a State Journal-Register report.
The physician office building would be built for physicians working for Memorial Health and its Springfield Clinic. The multi-million dollar building would be designed to consolidate office space for the physicians, who are working at various locations around the Jacksonville community.
The building would be built on land owned by Passavant, which believes a physician office building could increase its inpatient and outpatient volumes, according to the report. Despite the collaboration, Passavant officials said there is no discussion of a possible merger or affiliation.
