The Louisiana Hospital Association has launched a workplace wellness initiative for hospitals across the state, according to an LHA news release (pdf).
The Smart Choices, Better Health Hospital Campaign will be implemented in two phases over three years. The first phase will focus on healthy eating, exercise and weight loss. Phase two will be centered on smoking cessation.
More than 100 participating hospitals designated "Campaign Champions" within their organization and sent them to an orientation on how to implement specific worksite wellness action plans for employees and communities.
