Northwestern Lake Forest (Ill.) Hospital received 6-1 approval from city council members to move forward to a master construction plan, according to a Sun Times report.
The master construction plan calls for a replacement hospital, medical office building and parking. The current hospital will be turned into an educational facility.
The hospital's plans must now go through additional city processes and approvals before breaking ground.
