St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wis., part of Menasha, Wis.-based Affinity Health System, is planning a new bed tower as part of its current construction project, according to a Post-Crescent report.
To make room for the bed tower, the hospital is seeking to relocate its helicopter landing pad. The Appleton Common Council will review a recommendation from the City Plan Commission to approve this relocation Wednesday.
The current $65 million expansion and renovation project includes an updated power plant, a new emergency department with 23 private examination rooms and an existing ED designed to accommodate 15,000 annual visits, a breast center, a women and families birthplace unit, an expanded cancer center and an expanded radiology department.
