Last week, at the Healthcare Financial Management Association National Institute in Orlando, Fla., Billings (Mont.) Clinic and Craneware presented a session on how hospitals can improve their financial standing by looking at pharmacy issues in the revenue cycle.
The two organizations said pharmacy is often overlooked when it comes to patching holes in a hospital's revenue cycle department. However, improving pharmacy revenue cycle performance and compliance can be achieved by "clinical and financial collaboration and automation," according to a news release.
