Fairfax, Va.-based 1st Adult & Pediatrics Healthcare Services agreed to pay $3 million to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act.
1st Adult & Pediatrics was accused of billing Medicaid for home health services for patients that were hospitalized at the time Medicaid was billed.
Additionally, the company was accused of billing Virginia Medicaid for home health services that were not provided, according to an April 19 Western District of Virginia U.S. Attorney's Office news release.
The alleged billing took place from 2017 to May 2021. The settlement did not determine liability for the claims.
