Positive drug test rates for the U.S. workforce hit a 20-year high in 2021, according to a Quest Diagnostics study.
The lab said March 30 that the 4.6 percent positivity rate is up 31.4 percent from the all-time low between 2010 and 2012. The study included more than 11 million urine, hair and oral fluid test results collected between January and December 2021.
Positive results for cannabis increased 8.9 percent from 2020, Quest said. Positive tests for amphetamines and cocaine increased 7.8 percent and 5 percent, respectively.
