EyeKnow, an Israeli startup that uses artificial intelligence to reduce workplace violence, won a $75,000 nursing care challenge that enables it to develop its solution and enter the U.S. market with the help of Detroit-based Henry Ford Health.
The company was selected Dec. 8 by Start-Up Nation Central and Henry Ford Innovations through their Nursing Care Efficiencies Challenge that aims to identify early-stage Israeli startups that can build innovative solutions for nurses in the U.S.
"We are so excited to engage in a pilot with EyeKnow AI and to add more innovation to [Henry Ford Health's] ability to prevent workplace violence against healthcare workers," said Donna Summers, chief nursing information officer of Henry Ford Health, in a Dec. 13 news release from Start-Up Nation Central.
Founded in 2020, EyeKnow has previously employed AI and computer-vision algorithms to detect abuse at kindergartens in Israel.
