Americans remain wary of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with 70 percent of adults telling Morning Consult they have concerns about it.
But they're more at ease with certain uses than others. Here are the healthcare tasks they are most comfortable having AI help out with, according to the survey of 2,202 U.S. adults published Aug. 7:
1. Analyze medical data and history: 49 percent
2. Record appointment conversations to help take notes and complete documentation: 48 percent
3. Review medical images and/or scans: 46 percent
4. Communicate health information and test results via chatbots: 43 percent
5. Determine treatment plans: 41 percent
6. Determine best medications: 40 percent
7. Assess health condition and determine if you need care: 40 percent
8. Diagnose healthcare issues: 38 percent
9. Help perform surgical procedures: 34 percent
