Pomelo Care, a virtual maternal health company, raised $33 million in seed and series A financing.
The company matches expecting and new mothers with specialty virtual care teams. Pomelo Care serves members and employees of several national payers, Medicaid managed care plans, and health system employers such as Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine and New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System, according to a June 8 Pomelo Care news release.
Andreessen Horowitz led the funding round.
The company plans to use the financing to partner with new health plans and providers.
