Stanford Medicine is working with data platform Komodo Health to measure the short- and long-term effects of COVID-19.
Researchers from Stanford's Center for Population Health Sciences will use Komodo Health's deidentified patient and artificial intelligence tools to explore topics such as disparities in care for COVID-19, social determinants of COVID-19 testing, and cancer outcomes during the pandemic. The scientists will also employ the applications to study pediatrics, OB-GYN care and surgery.
"Academic research institutions play an essential role within our industry, conducting clinical research that paves the way to new discoveries that advance science and have a direct effect on patient care and outcomes," Komodo Health President and co-founder Web Sun said in an Aug. 4 company news release.
