Charlotte, N.C.-based Novant Health teamed up with Aidoc, an artificial intelligence-powered medical imaging company, to reduce the amount of time patients will stay in its emergency department.
According to a Jan. 24 press release, Novant Health will use five of Aidoc's AI solutions for intracranial hemorrhage, pulmonary embolism, incidental pulmonary embolism, cervical spine fracture and abdominal free air. The system said it hopes this partnership will improve patient care and help physicians diagnose patients with these conditions faster.
The decision to use Aidoc came as Novant Health's resources have been compromised because of the ongoing omicron surge.
