GE Healthcare added six AI startups, from five different countries, to its Canada-based Edison Accelerator program.
The program, developed in partnership with investor Nex Cubed, will aid the startups with testing and deployment of AI-based tools that can enhance GE Healthcare's FastStroke processing platform, according to an Aug. 10 press release.
Over the course of three months, each company will get a customized program plan and mentors with the aim to accelerate integration and commercialization of their AI products.
The six startups joining the programs first cohort:
- 16 Bit Inc.: Created a computer-aided detection and notification software intended to function as a pre-screening device for low bone mineral density.
- Bot Image: Uses AI to post-process MRIs.
- CardioWise: An AI-based cardiac imaging company that aids clinicians with next generation algorithms and data to make better and more informed decisions about patient care.
- Contextflow: Develops deep learning tools to speed up radiologists' workflows.
- Corelinesoft: Uses AI for medical image processes that can scan and reveal any ailment to provide early screening and prevention.
- US2.ai: Uses AI and automation to fight heart disease.
