Cobalt Ventures invests in mobile care company

Cobalt Ventures, the venture capital arm of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, invested $8 million into the mobile care platform MedArrive.

The financing brings the company's total raised to $40.5 million, according to an April 11 MedArrive news release shared with Becker's.

MedArrive works to provide home care to patients on behalf of their provider.

"MedArrive has quickly become a leader in delivering healthcare at home solutions with a unique platform and agile workforce that helps lower cost of care for health plans while building trust, improving access to care and driving better outcomes for their members," David Eichler, managing partner of Cobalt Ventures, said in the release.
