The University of Louisville (Ky.) has postponed its selection of a new healthcare partner for its University Hospital in Louisville until June 30, according to a Courier-Journal report.
The original decision date was set for April 16. According to the report, delaying the decision allows time for additional "discussions and negotiations" due to the "complexity of the venture."
Hospital and university officials have declined to announce how many healthcare organizations submitted proposals for a partnership. The deadline to submit proposals was late March. At the time, the field of applicants had been slim.
